Welcome to Zafuto Hockey Development

As a Niagara Falls, NY native I began playing hockey at a young age on the outdoor rink with my brother. From there my love for the game has grown everyday. I’ve been so fortunate with the opportunities hockey has provided me and the people I’ve met along the way. My passion and gratitude has urged me to give back in hopes of providing the next generation with even more opportunities.

With the inception of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) in 2024, so many young girls now have a league they can dream to play in. The PWHL came after many years of pioneers advancing our sport. These pioneers spent years in many different leagues, pushing for livable wages, health care and equity in our sport. It is my hope that through coaching and engaging with the next generation that I can empower young women to advance our game to even bigger heights.

I spent 4 years playing Division I hockey at Colgate University followed by 1.5 years in the PWHPA, 1.5 years in Sweden, a year in the Professional Hockey Federation (PHF) and now into year 2 in the PWHL. My first season was spent with the PWHL NY team and this season currently the Boston Fleet.

Over the last 12 years I’ve coached kids of all ages for camps, high school teams, private lessons and club teams. I love sharing my passion with the next generation and hope in doing so I can help guide them to reaching their goals.
